Members of the Texas Tech Cheer team hold up their national championship banner after arriving in Lubbock from Daytona Beach Florida on Sunday April 9 2017. After the preliminary round of competition on Thursday Texas Tech entered todays finals in the lead in co-ed cheer with a top score of 9625.

Texas Tech finished todays final round with a score of 971157 falling behind OSUs score of 972963 and beating Louisvilles score of 965741.

. After winning the national cheer championship team members head to Minneapolis to cheer on the Red Raider basketball team. Texas Tech Universitys beloved mascot once again took first place at the NCA NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships. In pom with 9348 points.

Texas Tech Pom Squad Coed Cheer won National titles in 2017 - 2018 Texas Tech Pom Squad won 2 National Titles one in Jazz 48 the other in Pom in 2018 - 2019 49 National team titles that are not bestowed by the NCAA.

The Cheer team won the Co-Ed Cheer category and the Pom Squad won the Dance Jazz Division 1A category.
